The long testing 2.7-mile circuit of Oulton Park
in Cheshire provided the setting for Round 3 of
the Powertour National Saloon Championship.
On the Saturday, Synchro Motorsport had the
luxury of being able to test their two Honda
Civics around the Oulton track prior to qualifying
on the Sunday. There were two fifty-minute
sessions scheduled for 11.25 and 3.05 that
afternoon.

The clutch problem that had spoilt Dave Allan's
last round at Croft had been fixed. New air jacks had also been fitted to both cars.

Saturday was dull, wet and dreary and the first test session took place on a wet track. Both Dave and Kevin's morning was incident free. Dave finished in an excellent fifth place, with only one tenth of a second separating third and fifth. Kevin was ninth of the fourteen cars that had participated.
